Hawks Split in First Day of Truett McConnell Tournament

Cleveland, Georgia – The Hawks fell to Truett McConnell 4-1 in match one and defeated LaGrange 4-0 in their season opener on the road.

 

In Match One vs Truett McConnell

The Hawks fell 4-1 against Truett with pairing results below:

"Both Caroline and I have had a long fall season full of training so it felt amazing to be able to compete and be with the team again! It was a beautiful day for our first match of the season and was so much fun to play with Caroline and go 2-0 for the day!"

"It as Bea and I's first fall season as beach only athletes and we were extremely grateful for the opportunity to train with our strength coach for the entire first semester as well as get beach touches. It felt great to compete together again and I am so excited for the rest of the season!"

"It was Lindsey's and I's first time playing college beach ever and I could not be more proud of the way we played. It felt amazing going out with one of my best friends on and off the court. Even when we got frustrated, we pushed through with our best! It was an amazing first experience."

 

Lindsey Holland-

"With today being the first time ever playing beach for me, I was extremely nervous, but playing with Ariel kept me calm! There were a few points where we got flustered, but we worked through it and had lots of fun! Overall this was an amazing first experience and I am so happy I got to play with one of my best friends!"

 

The Hawks return to action at Truett tomorrow, February 11th as they take on St. Andrews and Caron-Newman at 7:30 AM and 9:15 AM EST.
