Player Quotes for the Day:

Ashlen Janowski-

"I am so excited about the start of the 2023 season, and to play along side Reece as the #1 pair! I can't wait to see what we can accomplish together. Today we experienced a three set challenge for our first win of the day. Due to incoming weather we immediately had to compete against D2 Carson Newman without a break. I am very proud of our communication against a very tough pair and the fight we gave them, especially in set one."

Reece Rhodes-

"This was a great first outing for our team as a whole and for Ashlen and myself as our first tournament as partners, especially in the 1's pair. We expect that every dual we will get everyone's best pair and this week in practice we know the areas to improve for our home tournament next weekend. I am really looking forward to this upcoming season and excited to see what me and Ashlen achieve!"

Head coach Latonia Brady-

"This weekend was a huge opportunity to evaluate our readiness to compete as a team and what our initial pairs to start the season were able to showcase. We were able to make a few changes throughout the weekend as we work to solidify pairs by April. Newcomers: April, Reese, Ariel, and Lindsey have found themselves as immediate contributors. We also have some first time to beach student-athletes who are gaining ground daily and I look forward to their progress. This weeks focus will be improving our overall beach IQ as we work to increase our aggressiveness offensively with a balance of reducing unnecessary errors."

The Hawks return to action Thursday February 16th at home vs Spartanburg Methodist at 4:00 PM CST.
