Beach Volleyball Collects A Pair Of Wins Against Division I Jacksonville State And Salem
MOUNT BERRY, Ga.- Traveling to Berry College for their final regular season tournament of the season, Huntingdon Beach Volleyball improved to 16-11 on the season with wins over Division I Jacksonville State University and Salem College of the USA South. Match One: Huntingdon-3, JSU-2
- Brooklyn Schiffli and Kayla Williams defeated Veronica Tikhomirova and Ariel Helmick 21-18 and 21-19
- Izzy Valldeperas and Ashlen Janowski defeated Carly Lynch and Luci Wilkinson 21-15 and 27-25
- Madison Konopka and Caty Havekost defeated Eva Ellenburg and Jessi Hilyer 21-18 and 21-14
- Morgan Suggs and Carryne Chancey defeated Ellie Garrett and Chloe Mittelstadt in three sets, winning the first 21-6, dropping the second 21-16, but recovering for a 15-8 set three victory
- Lily VanDyke and Lydia Hitchcock defeated Sanni Rantanen and Izzy Whiteaker in three sets, losing the first 21-13 before winning the next two 21-18 and 15-10
Match Two: Huntingdon- 4, Salem-1
- Veronica Tikhomirova and Ariel Helmick defeated Jolina Bun and Olivia Torres 21-14 and 21-19
- Izzy Valldeperas and Ashlen Janowski defeated Ellie Schreyer and Mckenzie Tullock in three sets, losing the first 21-15 before winning the next two 21-17 and 15-6
- Eva Ellenburg and Jessi Hilyer defeated Anna Rymer and Leah Rymer in three sets, winning the first 22-20, losing the second 21-15, but recovering for a 15-10 set three victory
- Aspen Bradley and Ella Brameus defeated Morgan Suggs and Carryne Chancey 21-18 and 21-15
- Lydia Hitchcock and Lily VanDyke defeated Molly Enos and Grace Boyer 22-20 and 23-21
The Hawks look to carry this momentum into the AVCA National Championships on April 18th and 19th.
