Nine Hawks earn USA South All-Conference recognition

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Nine Huntingdon football players were recognized as first-team All-West Division with the release of the USA South All-Conference awards on Thursday.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the shortening of the season, the USA South is limiting All-Conference honors to first-team All-Division recognition this season. As a result, there are no Players of the Year or Coach of the Year awards this season.

Earning All-West Division recognition for the Hawks are quarterback Landon Cotney, H-Back Zack Self, offensive linemen Darrell Hixon and Colin Langford, defensive linemen Braxton Dyer and Gavin Walker, linebacker Karl Dorn, defensive back Fred Flavors and punter Zach Johnson. This was the second straight season Hixon has been recognized by the USA South.

Kelvin Bowser was named to the USA South's All-Sportsmanship team.

The nine All-Conference selections bring Huntingdon's total to 82 since joining the conference in 2013.

Huntingdon will play at Methodist on Saturday for the USA South Conference Championship. Kickoff is set for noon (Central).
