Huntingdon’s Langford named All-Region

MINNEAPOLIS  – Huntingdon offensive lineman Colin Langford earned All-Region recognition with the release of the D3football.com All-Region team on Monday.

Langford was named first-team. This is the 10th straight season the Hawks have had at least one All-Region performer. Huntingdon has produced 29 All-Region selections since the D3football.com teams began in 2005. This is the first All-Region recognition for Langford.

Due to the limited number of teams participating and games played during the pandemic, the 2020-21 All-Region team is drawn from all regions instead of the normal four Regions. Player of the Year and Coach of the Year were not selected this season.

Langford is the fifth Huntingdon offensive lineman named to the All-Region team. His selection, along with the previous selections of Darrell Hixon (2019), Chris Hering (2017 and 2018), Chael Pridgen (2013, 2014 and 2015) and Joey Peacock (2013), marked the seventh time in the past eight seasons that a Huntingdon offensive lineman has earned All-Region recognition.

Langford helped anchor an offensive line that paved the way for an offense that averaged 343.8 yards per game. This season, he graded out at 91-percent, recorded nine knockdown blocks and allowed one sack. He graded out at a season-high 93 in the conference championship game against Methodist.
