Huntingdon Football Releases 2025 Season Schedule

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Huntingdon Hawks football, coming off a 5-5 season and a fourth place finish in the USA South, has released their schedule for the 2025 season.

The Hawks open their season on September 6th, hitting the road to take on the Berry College Vikings, who defeated the Huntingdon at home 43-7 in last year's season opener. The Vikings finished in a tie for 1st in the SAA with an overall record of 8-3 and a conference record of 6-1

With the recent announcement of the Maryville College joining the SAA, Huntingdon has scheduled a home-away series with the McMurry Warhawks for an additional non-conference matchup. Last season, McMurry finished second in the conference with an overall record of 7-3 and a conference record of 7-1.

Head Coach Mike Turk on the upcoming season:

"Our non-conference schedule will challenge us to start quickly, which puts a huge priority on the work that we do in August when we return.  We will certainly have to make sure that we make every minute count.  The conference schedule involves the usual ebb and flow, but 3 out of our final 4 games are on the road, so we are going to have to be a tough and resilient bunch for sure.  As always, we will take them week by week, beginning with the road opener at Berry College."

After finishing with an even .500 record last season, the Hawks are looking to return to the top of the conference standings in their upcoming campaign.

Huntingdon opens conference play on October fourth at home against Methodist for their homecoming game. Last season, the Hawks defeated the Monarchs 42-0 on the road. Prior to the start of conference play however, the Hawks close out their September non-conference schedule at home in September, hosting Hendrix on the 13th and McMurry on the 20th. Following their battle with Methodist at home, the Hawks hit the road to take on the Pride of Greensboro College on October 11th.. The Hawks follow up with a brief stop at Charles Lee Field, squaring off with North Carolina Wesleyan before kicking off a two-game road trip to LaGrange and Brevard. Following their matchup with the Tornadoes, Huntingdon hosts the Southern Virginia Knights on November 8th for Senior Day before closing out their regular season at Belhaven.
