Huntingdon loses at Maryville

MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team lost to Maryville 88-50 on Saturday.

With the loss, the Hawks fall to 2-14 and 0-5 in USA South Athletic Conference while the Scots improve to 12-3 and 3-2 in the conference.

Maryville started the game by making four 3-pointers in the first six minutes of play and jumped out to a 14-0 lead before a pair of Trey Livingston free throws put the Hawks on the board. 

Huntingdon only managed to pull within nine points before Maryville pulled away for good. The Scots led 41-22 at halftime and controlled the second-half.

Jahal Robinson led Huntingdon with 10 points and recorded three steals. Scotty Chadwick and Brett Mitchell each scored seven points.

The Hawks return to conference play on Wednesday as they travel to rival LaGrange for a 4:30 matchup.
