Hawks Fall to the Bishops in the Roger Taylor Invitational

Rocky Mount, North Carolina – In day two of the Roger Taylor Invitational, hosted by NC Wesleyan, the Hawks fell to the Bishops 75-52.

From the tip, the Bishops took the lead with an early 13-0 run in the first 4 minutes. The Hawks began to battle back but were unable to bring the score within single digits. NC Wesleyan shot 18-34, 53% from the field and tagged 5 threes in the first half while the Hawks were only able to knock down 3 from outside the arc while shooting 32% on 7-22 from the field. Huntingdon's 15 first half turnovers resulted in 20 points for the Bishops, leaving the score at the half, 43-17. In the second half the Hawks were able to outscore the Bishops but were unable to overcome the deficit allowed in the first half.
