Gardner Earns CCS Player Of The Week

MONTGOMERY, Ala.-  The CCS has announced that Huntingdon men's basketball senior  Max Gardner has been named Player of the Week for his performances against Welch College and Pensacola Christian College.

The Decatur, Alabama native was crucial to the two Hawk victories this past week. Against Welch, the senior guard collected seven rebounds and six points. He added five assists, four steals, and three blocks to secure the win. Against Pensacola Christian, the Alabama native scored 23 points on 5-of-14 from the field, including 12-of-18 from the free-throw line. He added an impressive five rebounds and a trio of assists and steals.

When asked about his performances, coach Zac Richards said " I am very proud of Max this past week. He impacts the game in so many ways and really makes those around him better. Excited about his potential and continued growth throughout the rest of the season."

Max and the Hawks look to continue their early season success on Friday, December 15th, when they travel to take on the Bruins of Bob Jones University. Tip off is set for 3:00 PM CT.
