
Nate Johns Named To CSC Academic All-American Third Team
AUSTIN, Texas- After receiving CSC Academic All-District earlier this month, Nate Johns has been recognized as a third-team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators.
Six honorees on the Academic All-America® Division III men's basketball teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The five-man first team has an average undergraduate GPA of 3.92, with the entire 15-man team combining for a collective 3.82 undergraduate GPA.
Tate Ivanyo, who is now a three-time Academic All-America® honoree, is joined as a repeate selection to the CSC Academic All-American team by the following: Adam Brazil (Hampden-Sydney College), Ryan Broeckel (Wisconsin Lutheran College) and Ryan Thissen (Saint John's University – Minn.).
The Division III Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division III Academic All-America® program.
In his senior season, Johns played a pivotal role on the court for the Hawks in their historic run to the NCAA tournament. He averaged 11 points per game, 4.7 rebounds, and shot an unprecedented 65.7% from the field. In recognition of his stellar play, he was recognized as the 6th Man of the Year in the Collegiate Conference of the South while earning second team all-conference honors. He was also named to the conference's all-tournament team.
Off of the court, Nate performs just as well in the classroom, boasting a 4.0 GPA as a BioChemistry major. Following his graduation in May, he will be attending PA School at Faulkner University.

Johns is the first CSC Academic All-American in Huntingdon History, adding on to his historical accolades from this past season.
