ATHENS, Tenn. – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team beat Tennessee Wesleyan 11-8 on Saturday.
Huntingdon (1-0) led 11-5 going into the fourth quarter before Tennessee Wesleyan (0-1) cut the lead to three goals.
"We played the best third quarter I've seen since I have been here," Huntingdon head coach Andrew Carey said. "I am frustrated with the lack of discipline we showed in the fourth, but happy we got the win."
Senior Jakob Works led the Hawks with four goals. Patrick Rowe, Kendrick Ballard and Mike George each had two goals apiece. Brandon Scheele added one goal.

Huntingdon host Oglethorpe on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Samford Stadium.
