LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team lost 11-5 at Transylvania on Saturday.

The Hawks (4-4) fell behind in the first quarter and were unable to take control in the loss.

The Pioneers (1-2) jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the opening quarter. The Hawks offense opened the game with a slow start, as they were outshot 13-3 in the first quarter.

Kendrick Ballard scored Huntingdon's first goal to open the second quarter. Mac Puller cut the lead to one just under a minute later to give the Hawks life.

Transylvania responded with a pair of goals to pull ahead 5-2 before Zach Barnhill scored from an assist by Austen Saucier with 1:45 left in the opening half.

Schrampfer found the back of the net early in the fourth to pull Huntingdon within two goals, but the Transylvania offense took over, scoring the game's final four goals.
