Men’s lacrosse opens season with 20-goal performance

IRVING, Texas – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team took control quickly in a 20-3 win over the University of Dallas on Saturday.

The Hawks led 4-1 after one quarter and put the game away with 10 goals in a span of a little more than 11 minutes in the second quarter. The Hawks closed the scoring with two goals in the third quarter and four goals in the fourth quarter.

The 20 goals are tied for the fifth most in a game by the Hawks in program history. Huntingdon set its program record with 26 goals against Dallas last season.

Zach Barnhill, Seth Howe and Caleb Bohrer combined for 11 of the Hawks' goals. Barnhill finished with four goals, an assist and nine ground balls. Howe had four goals and an assist and Bohrer recorded three goals and four assists.

Brandon Miller had two goals and an assist, Paul Gordon had one goal and two assists and Cole Foster and Tyler Keiser each had two goals. Keiser was also 18-for-18 on faceoffs and had 18 ground balls.

Brady Moulton finished with one goal and one assist and was 5-for-5 on faceoffs. Will Syme had one goal and Mike Jones and Ryan Campion each had one assist. Dylan Langdale finished with five ground balls.

Three players saw time at goalie. Stephen Dan played the first 30 minutes, recording three saves and allowing one goal. Nick Balducci had three saves in 15 minutes and Grant Beningfield had one save and two goals allowed in 15 minutes.
