FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Huntingdon (6-10 overall, 2-6 USA South) fell to in conference opponent Methodist (6-9 overall, 4-4 USA South) with a final score of 18-9. With this loss the Hawks season has concluded.
The first quarter was deemed tough for the Hawks as the Monarchs scored five goals and left Huntingdon scoreless heading into the second.
Beginning to fight back after a goal from Brady Moulton, Colin Sloan and Ian Bruggeman scored goals for a 3-0 Hawks run. However, the Monarchs tagged three of their own goals to keep the lead at five heading into halftime.
Ian Bruggeman's four goal second half would not be enough for the Hawks to catch up to Methodist. The Monarchs scored five goals in the third and five in the fourth to close out the final regular season game before the USA South Conference Tournament.
