Huntingdon men fall at Methodist

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Huntingdon men's soccer team fell to Methodist University 4-0 on Sunday.

The Hawks (3-10-3, 2-5-2 USA South) trailed 1-0 at halftime before the Monarchs (10-4-3, 7-0-2 USA South) scored three goals in the second half. Methodist is second in the conference standings and is one of two teams unbeaten in conference play this season.

Brendon Van Emelen and Killian Delmore each took two shots for the Hawks. Van Emelen had Huntingdon's lone shot on goal.

Keeper Alex Brown had nine saves and four goals allowed.

Huntingdon hosts LaGrange on Wednesday. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Huntingdon soccer field.
