MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Conner Howard scored on a penalty kick in double overtime to help the Huntingdon men's soccer team beat Brevard 2-1 on Wednesday.
Howard's penalty kick came with 1:28 left in the second overtime.
In a game in which Brevard took 14 shots on goal to the Hawks' six, goalkeeper Zak Heino stopped 13 of the Tornados' shots. Heino recorded four saves in the two overtime periods.
Kelan LeBlanc scored Huntingdon's first goal of the game to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead a little less than 14 minutes into the game. Brevard tied the game in the first five minutes of the second half.
