Three Hawks earn West Division honors with release of USA South men’s soccer All-Conference awards
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Three Huntingdon men's soccer players were recognized as first- or second-team All-West Division on Friday with the release of the USA South All-Conference awards.
Senior Hunter Hall was named first-team West Division as a midfielder and junior Kelan LeBlanc (midfielder) and freshman Caden McLean (defense) were named second-team West Division. This is the third straight season LeBlanc has been recognized by the conference. He was named third-team All-Conference as a freshman and sophomore.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the shortening of the season, the USA South is limiting All-Conference honors to first-team and second-team All-Division recognition this season. As a result, there are no Players of the Year or Coach of the Year awards this season.
Hall leads Huntingdon and is third in the USA South with eight goals scored this season. He also leads the Hawks and is fourth in the conference with 16 points.
LeBlanc is second in goals for Huntingdon this season with three, leads the Hawks with two assists and is second with eight points.
McLean, in his first collegiate season, has started in all seven games for the Hawks and helped anchor a defense that has posted one shutout and held five of seven opponents to one goal or less.
Entering Saturday's USA South Conference Tournament, Hall and LeBlanc rank among the Hawks' top career offensive performers during the NCAA era. Hall currently has 20 career goals and 43 career points and LeBlanc has 20 career goals, 12 career assists and 52 career points.
The two rank second in career goals scored for Huntingdon during the NCAA era, trailing only Brendon Van Emelen's record of 21 career goals. LeBlanc is the Hawks' NCAA-era record holder for career points and career assists. Hall is third in career points.
Cristo Rocha was named to the USA South All-Sportsmanship team.
