SHREVEPORT, La. – Hawks Men's Soccer (1-2 overall) fell to Sull Ross State (1-1 overall) at Centenary College, 4-1.
Carlos Melendez scored in the first eight minutes for the Hawks after recovering a wide shot. In the 35th minutes Luis Avila-Mena took his shot at the Sul Ross State goalie, but the goalie came up with a save.
After the end of the first period, Sul Ross came out in the second half looking to take the game back. Sul Ross State scored four goals, in the 52nd minute, 60th, 76th, and 77th minute.
The Hawks were unable to recover from the quick goals as attempts from John McKee and Sebastian Guerrero could not get past the opposing goalkeeper.
