Men’s Soccer Loses to Piedmont

DEMOREST, Ga. – Huntingdon Men's Soccer (3-8 overall, 1-3 CCS) fell to the Lions of Piedmont University (4-6 overall, 2-1 CCS) with a final score of 8-2.

After back-to-back goals from the Lions in the opening five minutes, the Hawks struggled to fight back. In the first half, Huntingdon had no shots compared to Piedmont's 19 shots with 6 goals.

To begin the second half, Tate Reynolds got things going for the Hawks offensively with a quick goal in the 50th minute. Each team shot eight times in the second half, but Huntingdon had to play down a man after a red card in the 56th minute after another Lions goal. After the card, the Hawks allowed one more Lions goal and Sy Garrett scored the second goal for the Hawks before the close of the game.

Men's Soccer will return to action at Belhaven on Wednesday at 6:45 PM CT.
