Hawks Draw In Regular Season Finale With Maryville

MARYVILLE, Tenn. - Huntingdon Men's Soccer (3-9-2 overall, 0-4-1 CCS), took on the Maryville Scots (6-5-5, 2-2-1 CCS) in their regular season finale Saturday night resulting in a 0-0 draw.

Coming off of a draw against non-conference opponent Bob Jones, the Hawks took on a tough Maryville Squad led by Head Coach David Korn.

This matchup was marked by physical defense across the board. Both teams jumped out to a quick start on offense, with the Hawks taking 6 first half shots and the Scots taking 7, but neither team was able to get on the board. Maryville keeper Mykal Manfred saved the only shot on goal taken by the Hawks, while Hawks keeper Braden Ross saved 2 attempts by the Scots.

Going into the second half, little changed from the first. Each team shot the exact same amount of times as the first half, but no points would result.

The Hawks look forward to the CCS Championship tournament beginning on October 28th.
