Hawks Find Their Rhythm At Tougaloo

TOUGALOO, Miss.- In a road matchup with the Bulldogs, Huntingdon men's soccer(2-3 overall) defeated Tougaloo(0-3-1 overall) 4-2, putting on an offensive display to take the non-conference victory.

How it happened

Just 8 minutes into the game, Huntingdon put the first points on the board, with Jaden Jenkins finding the back of the net off a pass from Logan Osmond. The Bulldogs responded at the 24:40 mark with a goal to even the score at 1. Not to be outdone, Tougaloo managed to put another shot past Braden Ross to reclaim their one goal lead, 2-1.

In the final 10 minutes of the half, Varian Carty evened the score, taking a pass from Timaj Lester and sending it past the Tougaloo keeper to make the score 2-2  entering the halftime break.

Building off of Carty's goal late in the first half, Dashun McDonald found the goal at the 55:55 mark to give Huntingdon a slight 3-2 lead early in the second half. Aided by three saves in the second half by Lundon Danford, the Hawks were able to ice the game in the 68th minute, with Tate Reynolds scoring on a penalty kick to give Huntingdon the 4-2 victory.
