LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga.- In their second consecutive CCS showdown, Huntingdon men's soccer(3-6 overall, 0-2 CCS) fell to the Scots of Covenant College(9-2-1 overall, 2-0 CCS) 5-0.
How it happened
Coming out fast, the Scots took a 2-0 lead within the first 11 minutes, converting at the 1:59 and 10:21 marks to gain their early lead. On the other side of the field, the Hawks couldn't get a clear look at the goal, taking just 1 shot on the half compared to Covenant's 13. As a result, Huntingdon entered the halftime break facing a 2-0 deficit.
As the second half got underway, the Hawks continued to struggle offensively, with Covenant putting a stop to all three of their shot attempts in the half. On the flip side, the Scots cashed in on 3 of their 13 tries, giving Huntingdon a 5-0 loss on the road.
Huntingdon keeper Lundon Danford put a stop to 6 of Covenant's 11 shots on goal throughout the match.
