Men's Tennis Sweeps MUW

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Coming into today's match on the heels of a 6-1 loss to the Brevard College Tornadoes, Huntingdon men's tennis found their stride, earning their first win of the regular season at home against MUW 7-0.

Doubles

• Owen Wheelock and Sage Speer defeated Paul Gaines and Jaylen Lewis 6-0
• Clayton Philley and Griffin Osborn defeated Tyler Bailey and Jasper Poag 7-5
• Lawson Pearson and Tyler Garcia won their match by default

Singles

• Owen Wheelock defeated Paul Gaines in three sets, dropping the first 7-5 before winning the next two 7-5 and 10-1
• Lawson Pearson defeated Jaylen Lewis 6-0 and 6-3
• Sage Speer defeated Tyler Bailey 6-0 in each set
• Clayton Philley defeated Jasper Poag 6-4 and 6-2
• Griffin Osborn defeated Trevor Davis in three sets, winning the first 6-2, losing the second 6-4, and winning the third 10-6
• Prosser Crow won his match by default
