Hawks Fall On The Road To Oglethorpe

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Taking the court for the first time since their resounding home win over the Owls of MUW, Huntingdon men's tennis hit the road to take on Oglethorpe in a non-conference match.

The Hawks were defeated by the Stormy Petrels 5 sets to two, dropping all three doubles matches before claiming two wins in singles. See below for the comprehensive results.

• Zack Raymond and Figge Pernfors defeated Lawson Pearson and William Massey 6-2
• Taylor Hymel and Nicolas Ntayagabiri defeated Owen Wheelock and Sage Speer 6-4

Singles

• Vellen Simmons defeated Lane Young 6-2 and 6-0
• Sam Wasko defeated Tyler Garcia 6-3 and 6-2
• Bailey Laymond defeated William Massey 6-2 and 6-0
• Noah George defeated Owen Wheelock 6-1 and 6-2
• Lawson Pearson defeated Tony Molinet 6-4 and 6-2
• Sage Speer defeated Nicolas Zapata 6-3 ans 7-5

The Hawks look to bounce back on March 7th against Pfeiffer at Piedmont.  Matches are set to begin at 12:30 PM CT.
