Hawks Fall To Johnson University
KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- In search of a bounce-back victory following their 7-0 conference loss at Asbury, Huntingdon Men's Tennis made their way to Knoxville to square off with NAIA Johnson University.
The Hawks battled throughout the entirety of the match, but were ultimately bested by the Royals 5-2. See below for the full doubles and singles results from today's match.
Doubles
- Lane Young and Tyler Garcia defeated Emanuel Casco and Igor Parolis 6-3
- William Massey and Zach Cox were defeated by Gabor Szabo and Miguel Sanchez Loo 6-3
- Sage Speer and Owen Wheelock were defeated by Benjamin Barrios and Levi Lubbers 6-4
Singles
- Benjamin Barrios defeated Lane Young in three sets, with Young claiming the first 6-1 before falling in the next two 6-4 and 10-1
- Miguel Sanchez Loo defeated Tyler Garcia 6-2 and 7-6(tiebreaker score of 3)
- William Massey defeated Emanuel Casco 6-3 and 6-2
- Zach Cox defeated Gabor Szabo 6-2 in each set
- Felippe Amore defeated Lawson Pearson 6-3 and 6-2
- Levi Lubbers defeated Sage Speer 7-5 and 7-6(tiebreaker score of 6)
The Hawks return to action on Thursday, March 27th at Maryville College for a CCS match at 1:00 PM CT.
