Hawks Can't Get Past Covenant

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Returning to their home courts for the first time since March 16th, Huntingdon Men's Tennis played host to the defending Collegiate Conference of the South Champions, Covenant College.

In spite of a valiant effort, the Hawks were downed 7-0 by the Scots. See below for the full doubles and singles results from today's match.

Doubles

• Lane Young and Tyler Garcia were defeated by Ben Onufrock and Caleb Domkowski 6-3
• William Massey and Zach Cox were defeated by Brock Boehling and Graham Hayes 6-4
• Sage Speer and Owen Wheelock were defeated by Masen Howard and Gavin Patton 6-3

Singles

• Lane Young was defeated by Ben Onufrock 6-1 and 6-0
• Tyler Garcia was defeated by Caleb Domkowski 6-0 and 7-5
• William Massey was defeated by Brock Boehling in three sets, claiming the first 6-4 before dropping the second 6-1, and the third 7-6 with a tiebreaker score of 2
• Zach Cox was defeated by Jackson Orsega in three sets, winning the first 6-4 before losing the second and third both by a score of 6-1
• Lawson Pearson was defeated by Graham Hayes 6-1 and 6-0
• Sage Speer was defeated by Gill Dunn 6-2 and 6-1

The Hawks look to bounce back on April 8th at home, taking on LaGrange. Matches are set to begin at 3:30 PM CT.
