Hawks Fall To Piedmont In Opening Round Of CCS Tournament
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.- Entering the conference tournament as the #6 seed, Huntingdon Men's Tennis traveled to the Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga for a battle with the #3 seeded Piedmont Lions in the first round.
The Hawks were ultimately bested by the Lions, taking a 4-0 loss to conclude their season in the opening round. See below for the singles and doubles results from the match.
Doubles
- Lane Young and Tyler Garcia's match against Yannick Wassmer-Navarro and Simon Johnstone was not finished
- Lawson Pearson and Zach Cox were defeated by Charles Parnell and Connor Phelps 6-1
- Sage Speer and Owen Wheelock were defeated by Mark Backeberg and Rohan Kavali 6-3
Singles
- Lane Young was defeated by Yannick Wassmer-Navarro 6-1 and 6-0
- Tyler Garcia was defeated by Charles Parnell 6-2 in each set
- Zach Cox's match against Bryce Van Order was not finished
- Lawson Pearson was defeated by Mark Backeberg 6-1 in each set

This loss has brought an end to the Huntingdon's regular season. The Hawks finished the season with an overall record of 4-12, going 2-5 in CCS play.
