Track and Field competes in Montevallo Invitational
MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Huntingdon track and field teams competed in the Montevallo Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Neither the men's team nor the women's team earned a team score.
The Huntingdon men competed with five athletes in six events. Tyler Shirley was 30th of 31 in the 400 meters with a time of 56.78 seconds and 43rd of 47 in the 800 meters with a time of 2:17.98.
Will Curtis was 31st of 31 in the 400 meters with a time of 58.48 seconds and 17th of 17 in the long jump with a distance of 16 feet-7.75 inches.
Taylor Chestnutt was 42nd of 47 in the 800 meters with a time of 2:14.80 and 58th of 62 in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:47.79.
Ryan Cole was 46th of 47 in the 800 meters with a time of 2:21.39 and 60th of 62 in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:51.78.
Mac Brooks was 35th of 48 in the 5000 meters with a time of 16:51.85 and 10th of 13 in the 10,000 meters with a time of 34:45.04.
The women's team competed with two athletes in three events.
Mary Stanley finished 17th of 22 in the 400 meters with a time of 1:07.67 and 15th of 21 in the 800 meters with a time of 2:37.99.
Ashley Davis was 49th of 49 in the 200 meters with a time of 32.18 seconds and 21st of 22 in the 400 meters with a time of 1:10.77.
Coming Up: Huntingdon will compete in the BSC Invitational on Friday.
