Hawks Fly At The Southern Showcase
HUNTSVILLE,Ala.- For their third meet of their 2024 season, Huntingdon cross country traveled to Huntsville to compete in the Southern Showcase hosted by Jacksonville State University.
In a massive field featuring 47 teams, with the majority of them being Division I, and a batch of unattached runners, the men's team finished 45th in the field with an average 8000m time of 33:34. Blake Bailey crossed the line first for Huntingdon, finishing the race with a time of 30:46.2.
The women's team saw four finishers, excluding them from qualifying for a team score. Sophomore Michaela Moore followed her solid performance at the Falcon Classic with another excellent display this week, finishing the 5000m race in 21 minutes and 32 seconds.
The University of Alabama claimed victory in both the men's and women's races.

The Hawks return to the course on September 27th, hosting the Hawk Invitational at the Greenbriar Cross Country in Grady, Alabama.
