Hawks Stun The Berea Mountaineers In Second Conference Double-Header
MONTGOMERY,Ala.- In their second conference double-header in as many days, Huntingdon softball (21-3 overall, 4-0 CCS) put on an impressive offensive display, taking down the Berea Mountaineers(1-13 overall, 0-6 CCS) 17-0 in the first game and followed with a 16-0 second game victory.
Game one highlights

After holding Berea scoreless in the opening frame, the Hawks got on the board with a sacrifice fly from Jordan Holman bringing in Brooke Stefankiewicz to put Huntingdon ahead 1-0

The Hawks exploded in the bottom frame of the second inning with 10 scored runs. Miranda Treadway kicked off the scoring for the Hawks with a single to bring home Maddie Grace Hubbard.

Ellie Lorance returned the favor, singling to bring Treadway home to push the lead to 3-0

At the following at bat, Nevaeh McIntyre doubled to left field, allowing Elli Lorance to cross home plate and bring the score to 4-0

Allie Roberts started on the mound for Huntingdon and earned her 11th win of the season. Through two innings, she struck out 5 Mountaineers and did not allow any hits or runs

Aubree Flanagan took over for Roberts, and had an equally impressive performance. In three innings, she also struck out five batters and only allowed one hit.
