Holman and Roberts Headline Hawks CCS Softball All-Conference Recipients

MONTGOMERY,Ala.- In honor of their outstanding performances that contributed to the #9 ranked softball's historic season, nine Hawks have received all-conference awards as voted upon by head coaches in the conference.

Shortshop Jordan Holman leads the way for the Hawks, being named the conference player of the year and receiving first team all-conference honors. Showcasing phenomenal hitting abilities at the national and conference stage, Holman leads the CCS in runs batted in RBI (50) and doubles (15) this season. The senior shortstop is among the top-five league leaders in batting average (.437), slugging percentage (.765), hits (52), runs scored (39), home runs (6), and triples (3). She garners national attention as she is ranked within the top-10 in RBIs and is ranked within the top-25 in hits. That national attention continued as she was named to the NFCA Player of the Year watchlist at the beginning of April.

In honor of her dominant freshman season in the circle for the Hawks, Allie Roberts has been named the conference Rookie Pitcher of the Year. In conference play, Roberts commanded her way to an ERA of 1.32 and held her opponents to a .175 batting average. Roberts produced 15 wins en route to the Hawk squad finishing as co-Regular Season Champions. In that winning production, Roberts rose to strike out 154 batters this season. She also ranks among conference leaders in saves (1) and innings pitched (116.1). Robert's success allowed her to be named CCS Pitcher of the Week and CCS Rookie of the Week once.

Leading the team to new heights, head coach Casey Chrietzberg has been named the conference Coach of the Year. Demonstrating precise leadership consistently throughout the season, Chrietzberg's squad finished the regular season as co-champions with a conference record of 15-1. In addition to winning the regular season, the Huntingdon Hawks are ranked ninth in the NFCA Division III.
