Hawks Sweep Weekly CCS Softball Awards

ATLANTA, Ga.- The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.

 Miranda Treadway was named Player of the Week, while Allie Roberts earned Pitcher of the Week honors.

Addison Gaines was also tabbed Rookie of the Week.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Miranda Treadway, Huntingdon

Huntingdon senior Miranda Treadway powered the Hawks to a perfect 6-0 week, rising to the top of both the CCS and NCAA leaderboards with three home runs over six games. Treadway batted .569 at the plate, collecting 11 hits—including three home runs and a double—while scoring six runs and driving in 10. Her standout week pushed her past 100 career RBIs. Defensively, she tallied 28 putouts and three assists behind the plate, including catching the CCS's most dangerous base-stealer attempting to swipe second in a key win over Piedmont.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Allie Roberts, Huntingdon

Allie Roberts delivered three dominant performances in the circle, helping the Hawks sweep LaGrange, Piedmont, and Agnes Scott. The sophomore ace went 3-0 on the week, allowing just one earned run and seven hits over three appearances while striking out 15. With the trio of conference wins, Roberts improved to 17-1 on the season and currently ranks inside the top 15 nationally in victories.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Addison Gaines, Huntingdon

Freshman Addison Gaines made the most of her lone start of the week, tossing four scoreless innings in an 8-0 run-rule victory over Agnes Scott. Gaines gave up just one hit and one walk while striking out three to earn her sixth win of the season.

#9 Hawks Softball returns to action at Cannon Field on April 18th, hosting the #20 Berry Vikings. Games are set for 1:00 and 3:00 PM CT.
