DEMOREST, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team fell to Emory 86-33 on Thursday in the Piedmont Cancer Awareness Classic.
Huntingdon suffered its second loss on the season and fell to 6-2 while Emory improved to 8-1.
Huntingdon battled hard in the first quarter and trailed 16-13 heading into the second, but a 28-0 run by the Eagles proved to be too much for the Lady Hawks to overcome.
Sophomore Mia Hudson led Huntingdon with 15 points while senior Jello Weatherspoon scored nine. Junior Juliette Harp had a team-high 10 rebounds.
The Lady Hawks return to action on Friday as they battle Meredith at 3 p.m. in the final day of the Piedmont Cancer Awareness Classic.
