17 Hawks see action in conference win over Agnes Scott

MONTGOMERY, Ala.  – The Huntingdon women's basketball team cruised to an 82-45 win over Agnes Scott on Tuesday night.

A total of 17 Hawks saw action in the game as Huntingdon earned its third win in 10 days. Huntingdon's bench accounted for 40 of the Hawks' 82 points against the Scotties.

With the win, Huntingdon improved to 6-1 in the USA South Athletic Conference. The Hawks are one game out of first and ranked second in the West Division of the conference.

Huntingdon took a 10-2 lead in the first four minutes of Tuesday's game and led by 21 points, 29-8, at the end of the first quarter. Huntingdon led by at least 15 points for the entire second quarter and continued to pull away after halftime, building as much as a 39-point lead in the second half.

Freshman A.B. Davis led Huntingdon with 15 points, three assists and three steals in 14 minutes. Wyatt Bak had 13 points in 20 minutes and Keturah Billen had 12 points and five rebounds in 17 minutes.

Shaonica Thomas added nine points and six rebounds in 20 minutes, Kassidy Crawford followed with eight points and three assists in 20 minutes and Alina Shoemake finished with eight points in 15 minutes.

Ry Whetstone had three assists and Indya Lawrence and Kelcie Smith each had three steals.
