Hawks fall to undefeated LaGrange

DUE TO CURRENT COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, FANS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT HUNTINGDON BASKETBALL GAMES

 

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team lost to LaGrange 79-56 on Friday's Senior Day.

The two teams competed evenly early before the Panthers began to pull ahead midway through the first half. Tied 17-17, LaGrange used a 12-0 run to close the first quarter and open the second quarter and take a 29-17 lead.

LaGrange led 39-28 at halftime and maintained a double-digit lead for the remainder of the game.

Ry Whetstone recorded a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds for the Hawks. A.B. Davis scored a team-high 14 points and Alina Shoemake had 12 points.
