LaGrange, Ga.-Huntingdon Women's Basketball fell to LaGrange, 80-70, after a back and forth game led to overtime.
The Hawks fell behind 14-13 after the first quarter but ended the first half tied at 35. Huntingdon held a lead in the third quarter until LaGrange tied it at 49 with 2 free throws with 16 seconds left. In the 4th quarter, Ry Whetstone made a layup at 9:31 to tie the game, 51-51. Whetstone made 2 free throws at 2:25 of the fourth quarter to tie the game at 64, which held until overtime.
In overtime, LaGrange took the lead with a layup at 4:41 before Brooklyn Oden made a jump shot to tie the game again. LaGrange made 2 free throws to take a 68-66 lead at 4:08 and the Hawks were unable to make the comeback.
Brooklyn Oden led the team with 20 points while Ry Whetstone had 19 points and a team-leading 11 rebounds. The Hawks outrebounded Lagrange 38-30 with 15 bench points and 36 points in the paint.
The Hawks are back in action at home on Tuesday, February 16th, when they take on Brevard at 4:30 PM CST.
