15 Hawks Score As Huntingdon Captures CCS Victory At Agnes Scott

DECATUR, Ga.- Coming of a loss at home to LaGrange, Huntingdon women's basketball kicked off a three-game road stretch with a matchup against Agnes Scott College. All 15 Hawks that played found themselves on the scoreboard, boosting Huntingdon to a 75-43 victory over the Scotties.

First Quarter

  • The opening quarter of this matchup was a persistent back-and-forth affair, with Agnes Scott scoring first to claim an opening lead
  • Briana Stuckey's layup at the 6:02 mark gave Huntingdon their first lead of the night 6-4, but the Scotties scored on the following possession to even things back up
  • Tied at 10 with 2:26 remaining in the quarter, the Hawks pieced together a 6-0 run, featuring baskets from Kennedy-Ryan Jackson, Makayla Ford, and Charity Shaw to hold a 16-10 lead as the second quarter got underway

Second Quarter

Third Quarter

  • Huntingdon kept rolling offensively as the third quarter got underway, with Kinstin Davis and Destiny Grider spearheading a 6-1 run to extend the lead to 45-20 by the 8:32 mark
  • The Hawks continued to pour it on as the quarter wore on, pushing their lead to as much as 51-25 following Makayla Ford's shot from deep
  • The Scotties pieced together a 5-0 run to cut into Huntingdon's lead, but Payton Corbett's three-pointer with a minute and a half remaining stopped the bleeding and gave the Hawks a 56-30 lead heading into the fourth quarter

Fourth Quarter

  • Trinity Crane opened the period with five consecutive points before Payton Corbett chimed in at the 5:17 mark to put the Hawks ahead by 30, 65-35
  • Jayla Carter's layup in the final minute put a cap on the Hawks performance, solidifying their first CCS win in 2025, 75-43
