Lady Hawks finish 4th in Golfweek D3 Fall Invitational

DESTIN, Fla. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 322 in the final round of the Golfweek D3 Fall Invitational on Tuesday. The Lady Hawks finished fourth in the 18-team field with a three-round score of 943.

The University of Texas-Tyler won the tournament with a 931. Sewanee was second at 932 and Washington University-St. Louis was third at 940.

Freshman Katelyn Gilmore turned in Huntingdon's best round on Tuesday with a 77 and finished the tournament tied for 15th at 237. Junior LeeAnn Cahoon and freshman Hallie Rice each shot 81 in the final round. Cahoon tied for 11th at 234 and Rice was 14th at 236.

Junior Savannah Humber shot 83 in the final round and finished with a 240 and sophomore Kelsey Spivey shot 85 in the final round and 243 for the tournament.

Texas-Tyler's Laura Lindsey was the tournament medalist with a 2-over-par 218. Sewanee's Emily Javadi was second at 3-over 219.

Huntingdon returns to action in March in the Callaway Women's Invitational.
