Lady Hawks in 7th after Rd. 1 of Callaway Gardens Invitational

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 326 on Monday in the first round of the Callaway Gardens Invitational.

The 20th-ranked Lady Hawks are seventh in the 16-team field entering Tuesday's final round. Five of the six teams in front of the Lady Hawks are ranked in the top-20 in Division III.

Second-ranked Wittenberg leads the field at 306 and sixth-ranked Berry is second at 308. Fourth-ranked Rhodes is third at 314 and Oglethorpe is fourth at 319.

Senior LeeAnn Cahoon, junior Kelsey Spivey and sophomore Katelyn Gilmore each shot 80 on Monday and are tied for 17th. Berry College's Sydney Weaver leads the tournament with an even-par 72.

Rounding out the top five for the Lady Hawks, senior Courtney Harville shot 86 and freshman Madi DeWees shot 96.

Playing as an individual, freshman Hannah Tuttle shot 81.
