Burdeshaw tied for 10th entering final round of Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational
SANDESTIN, Fla. – Sophomore Debra Ann Burdeshaw led the Huntingdon women's golf team in the second round of the Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational on Monday.
Burdeshaw shot a 5-over-par 77 in Round 2 and is tied for 10th with a two-round 153 entering Tuesday's final round at Baytowne Golf Club. Centre College's Bailey Plourde leads the tournament with a 1-under 143.
In a field that features nine nationally ranked teams, Huntingdon shot 325 in the second round and is tied for 15th after two rounds with a 655. Seventh-ranked Carnegie Mellon leads the 18-team tournament with a 29-over 605.
Eleventh-ranked Methodist is second at 619 and 20th-ranked Berry College is third at 626.
Behind Burdeshaw, sophomore Abigail Cody shot 6-over 78 in the second round and has a two-round 168. Senior Madi DeWees has a two-round 165, junior Anna Beth Harris has a two-round 172 and freshman Emma Cox has a two-round 179.
