Women’s golf opens season against Piedmont

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's golf team opened the season with a head-to-head matchup against Piedmont on Sunday at the Montgomery Country Club.

Huntingdon shot 341 to win. Piedmont shot 409.

Emma Cox shot an 82, Anna Beth Harris shot an 85, Abigail Cody shot 86 and Debra Ann Burdeshaw and Lindsey Oxley each shot 88.

Playing as an individual, Emma Hallman turned in Huntingdon's best round with a 5-over-par 78. Also playing as an individual, Jasmine Paynter shot 96.

Coming Up: Huntingdon will play at Birmingham-Southern on Friday.
