Huntingdon completes Rd. 2 of Jekyll Island Women’s Collegiate

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 331 in the second round of the Jekyll Island Women's Collegiate on Saturday.

Entering Sunday's final round, the Hawks are 10th with a two-round 665. Methodist leads the 16-team tournament at 33-over-par 609 after two rounds. Centre College is second at 628. Both teams shot 303 on Saturday.

Anna Beth Harris led Huntingdon in the second round with an 81 and is tied for 27th with a two-round 163. Debra Ann Burdeshaw, after leading the Hawks in Round 1, shot 83 on Saturday and is tied for 17th at 160.

Jasmine Paynter shot 83 in Round 2 and has a two-round 167. Emma Cox shot 84 in the second round and has a 36-hole total of 175 and Lindsey Oxley shot 85 on Saturday and has a two-round 178.

Methodist's Jillian Drinkard leads the tournament with an even-par 144. First-round leader and Methodist teammate Paige Church is second with a 4-over 148.
