Huntingdon women finish 6th in Golfweek Invitational

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 330 in the final round of the Golfweek DIII Invitational on Sunday.

The Hawks finished sixth with a three-round total of 1013. Centre College won the eight-team tournament with a 72-over-par 936. Carnegie Mellon was second at 954.

Debra Ann Burdeshaw led Huntingdon in the final round with a 79 and tied for 18th with a three-round 249. Anna Beth Harris tied for 22nd with a 253, Jasmine Paynter tied for 24th with a 254, Abigail Cody tied for 32nd with a 263 and Emma Cox tied for 35th with a 264.

Centre's Bailey Plourde earned medalist honors with an 8-over 224.  

                                                                                                

Coming Up: Huntingdon hosts the Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate on April 11-12.
