Huntingdon finishes 7th in MCC Intercollegiate

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's golf team turned in its best round of the season with a 29-over-par 317 on Monday in the final round of the Montgomery Country Club Intercollegiate.

The Hawks finished seventh with a two-round 643. Methodist won the tournament with a 4-over 580. Carnegie Mellon was second with a 21-over 597.

Jasmine Paynter led Huntingdon in the final round with a 3-over 75 and finished tied for 28th with a two-round 161. Debra Ann Burdeshaw tied for 15th with a two-round 154. Burdeshaw shot 4-over 76 in the final round.

Anna Beth Harris and Abigail Cody both tied for 33rd with 164 in two rounds. Harris shot 81 in the final round and Cody shot 85. Emma Cox shot 87 in the final round and finished 42nd with a two-round 175.

Playing as an individuals, Lindsey Oxley shot 86 on Monday and tied for 30th with a two-round 162 and Emma Hallman shot 85 in the final round and tied for 40th with a two-round 174.

Methodist's Jillian Drinkard won the tournament with a 6-under 138. Drinkard shot a 6-under 66 on Monday.   

                

Coming Up: Huntingdon will play in the USA South Conference Tournament on April 22-24.
