Four Hawks named to inaugural USA South All-Conference women’s golf team

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.  – Four Hawks were recognized with the release of the inaugural USA South Athletic Conference women's golf awards on Friday.

Debra Ann Burdeshaw was named first-team All-Conference and Anna Beth Harris, Abigail Cody and Jasmine Paynter were named honorable mention. Paynter was also named to the All-Sportsmanship team

Burdeshaw leads Huntingdon with an average of 82.55 in 11 rounds this season. Harris has a scoring average of 84 in 11 rounds, Cody has a scoring average of 85.63 in eight rounds and Paynter has a scoring average of 86.11 in nine rounds.

Methodist's Jillian Drinkard was named Player of the Year, Methodist freshman Ingrid Steingrimsen was named Rookie of the Year and Methodist's Tom Inczauskis was named Coach of the Year.  

Huntingdon will begin competition in the three-day USA South Athletic Conference Tournament on Monday at Belmont Lakes Golf Club in Rocky Mount, N.C. Huntingdon enters the six-team tournament as the No. 2 seed.
