Mary Charles Davis Named USA South Rookie Of The Year, Culbertson and Willis Earn First Team All-Conference Honors

MONTGOMERY,Ala.- The USA South Athletic Conference has released it's All-Conference Honors for the 2023-2024 season. Freshman Mary Charles Davis has been named the conference Rookie of the Year with an honorable mention for All-Conference, while Caroline Culbertson and Briana Willis have been named to the First team All-Conference. Culbertson has also been named to the All-Sportsmanship team.

Davis, a freshman from Cullman, Alabama becomes the first Hawk golfer to earn USA South Rookie of the Year accolades. Davis is currently the 113th-ranked player in Division III according to Clippd, leading all USA South rookies with a 77.9 average in 15.5 rounds of play. In seven events, Davis has recorded one round of par or better with one top-five finish. For her efforts, Davis earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors this year while also collecting USA South Rookie Golfer of the Week on six occasions.

Willis and Culbertson are ranked consecutively in Division III according to Clippd, with Willis being the 89th ranked golfer and Culbertson the 90th. Each playing 16 rounds on the season, Willis' scoring average sits at 77.1 with Culbertson trailing just behind with an average of 78.2.

Davis, Culbertson, and Willis all look to lead the Hawks as they prepare for the USA South Conference Championships beginning on April 22nd in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
