Huntingdon celebrates Senior Day with 20-goal performance

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Huntingdon women's lacrosse team celebrated Senior Day with a 20-5 win over Brevard on Saturday.

The 20-goal performance was the second for Huntingdon since 2014.

The Hawks took control on Saturday with seven goals in the first 10 minutes. Shelby Martin scored twice in the first two minutes before Keirstin Cramer, Shelby Blair, Peyton Beachler, Savannah Ryan and Olivia Stinson each scored one goal to make it a 7-0 game.

The Hawks built a 15-1 lead late in the first half.

Stinson led Huntingdon with five goals and one assist, Martin had four goals, one assist and six draw controls and Vanessa Maldonado finished with three goals and four assists. Cramer scored three goals and had one assist and Ryan had two goals, five ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers.

Beachler finished with one goal and one assist, Blair and Mia Haulbrook each scored one goal and Jordan Alvis had one assist.

Goalie Morgan Coppini recorded five saves and one goal allowed in 23:41 and Elizabeth Todd had one save and four goals allowed in 36:19.
