WLAX Drops to Hendrix on the Road

The Warriors started the game with a 3-0 advantage after the first ten minutes. Leading scorers, Mackenzie Wolford and Dylanie Chappel answered with two goals before the close of the first period to be down one (3-2).
Hendrix outscored the Hawks in the second period 2-1 with Chappel scoring her second goal of the game. Hawks goalie, Elizabeth Todd aided in the defensive efforts with a season-high 15 saves and 3 of them coming in the first half. Huntingdon was down 5-3 heading to halftime.
After halftime, the Warriors went on a scoring spree, scoring five goals in ten minutes to go up by seven (10-3). Huntingdon refused to give up with freshman, Amara Veng adding two goals of her own before the end of the third and Celina Owens-Campbell scoring her first goal of the night (10-6).
Three more goals by Hendrix in the fourth secured their lead as Wolford's final two goals came too late for the Hawks to comeback.
