Birmingham, Alabama – The Hawks (1-4 overall) fell to Birmingham Southern (2-8) with a final score of 21-1.
Birmingham Southern struck first to begin a 6-0 run for the Panthers. Dylanie Chappel notched the lone goal for the Hawks, assisted by Celina Owens-Campbell with 1:45 to go in the first quarter. Another BSC goal on starting goalie, Elizabeth Todd, with 45 seconds before the second quarter gave the Panthers a 7-1 lead.
Before halftime, BSC scored eight more goals to go up 15-1 at the break. After halftime, the Panthers scored six more goals, five in the third and one in the fourth to finalize the game.
