Hawks Earn Third Straight Win and Defeat Williams Peace on Senior Day

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon (4-8 overall, 3-5 USA South) defeated William Peace (1-11 overall, 0-8 USA South) for their third straight conference win, 15-8.

Prior to the game the Hawks recognized lone senior, Sydney Parfait for all of her accomplishments.

After an early Pacers goal, the Hawks stepped up to outscore them 8-0 in the remaining eleven minutes of the first quarter. Goals were credited to four Hawks and Dylanie Chappel scored four of them, three coming in the last two minutes on the quarter as Huntingdon looked to continue the run in the second (8-1).

Once again it was William Peace who struck first in the second quarter, this time with two back-to-back goals before Mackenzie Wolford and Peyton Beachler tagged their second goals of the game heading to halftime up 10-3.

Traded goals were the key to the third quarter but the Pacers would only be able to cut the game to six goals as Celina Owens-Campbell and Chappel scored for the Hawks (12-6).

In the final quarter, the Pacers looked to cut the lead but Chappel scored her sixth goal to claim a new career high and Peyton Beachler followed suit as she scored her third goal for her new career high as the Hawks closed out the game.
